Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) - Database and Infrastructure

Short Job Description

We are seeking a talented Site Reliability Engineer with a focus on databases and infrastructure to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, availability and scalability of our systems and applications. This includes designing, developing and maintaining our databases and infrastructure, as well as working closely with the development team to improve performance and scalability.

What you can expect in this role
  • Design and implement infrastructure and database solutions in collaboration with the development team

  • Monitor and maintain the availability, reliability and scalability of our systems and applications

  • Develop and maintain automation scripts for deployment and infrastructure management

  • Manage and optimize databases, including schema design, query optimization and performance tuning

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to infrastructure, applications and databases

  • Generate ad hoc reports for our customer support and daily operations team using MySQL/MariaDB

  • Manage and optimize our infrastructure, including server administration, network management and security

  • Work with the development team to improve system and application performance

  • Continuously improve our systems and processes through automation and monitoring

Your essential experience and education
  • 5+ years of experience as a Site Reliability Engineer, Database Administrator, Database Developer, or Infrastructure Engineer

  • Strong understanding of Linux and Windows systems administration and networking concepts

  • Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP

  • Proficiency in at least one scripting language such as Python, Bash or PowerShell

  • Profound knowledge of database design and administration, like MySQL, PostgreSQL or SQL Server

  • Strong understanding of application development and deployment processes, including .NET Core and Windows Server

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills in English

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

For this position, a minimum basic salary of between EUR 50,000.00 and EUR 65,000.00 gross per year applies for an employment level of 40 hours per week. Depending on qualifications and experience, there is the readiness for KV overpayment.
